Remove the right front wheel.
Remove the splash shield.
Loosen the water pump pulley mounting bolts (A).
Remove the drive belt.
Remove the water pump pulley mounting bolts, then remove the water pump pulley (B).
Turn the water pump pulley counterclockwise, and check that it turns freely. If it does not turn freely, replace the water pump.
NOTE: When you check the water pump, you may see a small amount of ‘‘weeping'' from the bleed holes (A). This is normal.
Install the water pump pulley (A), and loosely install the water pump pulley mounting bolts (B).
Install the drive belt.
Tighten the water pump pulley mounting bolts.
Install the splash shield.
Install the right front wheel.
